UPDATE 26/11/14: 19 year old man from Frankley was arrested last night on suspicion of robbery in relation to this incident. He’s been released on bail until Tuesday 20th January pending further enquiries.

West Mercia Police are investigating a robbery at a Rubery home during which a 20 year old woman, in the house at the time, was punched in the face.

At around 5.30pm on Friday 21st November, three men entered the house in Hillview Road through an unlocked door. The victim, at home alone, was threatened by the men, one of who was holding a machete, before being punched twice in the face. The thieves demanded money before stealing cash, a watch and an iPad mini.

The woman sustained serious injuries to her face and was taken to Alexandra Hospital in Redditch for treatment.

The victim gave the following descriptions of the men:

Male 1 – white, approximately 6foot tall, slim build, black scarf over his face, all black clothing, wearing gloves,
Male 2 – mixed race, approximately 6foot, bigger build than male 1, scarf over his mouth, wearing all black, with a distinctive ‘button’ nose.
Male 3- white male, 5foot 2”- 5foot 3”, slim build, black clothing, scarf around face.
