Pupils in Year 11 are being invited to Cadbury Sixth Form College’s Open Day on Saturday 8th November 2014.
The event will provide young people and their parents with an opportunity to find out about the specialist A Level college, which offers over 45 different advanced level courses including A Level and BTEC qualifications at Level 3.
Situated in Kings Norton, the college caters exclusively for 16 to 18 years olds and this year continued its record of excellence with a ‘Good’ grading from Ofsted and another great set of A Level results that enabled around 80% of students to get a place at university.
The Open Day runs from 10am until 4pm at the college campus in Downland Close, Kings Norton in Birmingham. Visitors will be able to speak to subject teachers first-hand and there will be introductory talks by Principal Jeremy Rogers scheduled throughout the day.
Students will also be available to talk about their subjects and their own experience of college life. There will be a fashion show showcasing garments created by A Level Textiles students, live music performances and a pop-up cinema screening short films created by A Level Film and Media students.
Local universities will be on-hand to help individuals plan their next step after A Levels. Representatives from The University of Birmingham, Coventry University, Birmingham City University and Derby University will offer degree course advice.
