A man was arrested yesterday following an incident outside Longbridge Police Station in which shots, believed to be from an air weapon, were fired.
At around 9.30am on Thursday (27 Nov), officers inside the station on Bristol Road South heard shots being fired in the street outside. Officers rushed out to find two men involved in a dispute.
When officers tried to speak to the men, both left the area.
One of the men, in his 40s, was seen a short time later on Bristol Road South, with a slash wound to the arm but no other apparent wounds. He was taken to hospital where he remains awaiting surgery.
A man in his 20s presented himself to a police station at 10.30pm. He was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon and remains in custody.
