The mother of a Frankley youngster, tragically killed in a road accident six years ago, today said she was “devastated” to find that someone had removed a roadside floral tribute left on the anniversary of her son's death.

Jordan Lea Kane died aged 8 on November 15th 2008, a day after being hit by a car on Holly Hill Road in a tragic accident.

Keen footballer Jordan, who went to Forestdale Primary School, played for Northfield Lions.

Jo said that family and friends always come together to leave flowers and remember Jordan on important dates: “We do it on his birthday 18th August, the anniversary of his death 15th November and Christmas. It means a lot to do it as his friends always turn up.”

The five bouquets of flowers were placed on a grass verge, close to the shop on Holly Hill Road, by family and friends yesterday on the anniversary of Jordan's death. They were no longer there today.
