From Sanctuary Care:
The team at a Sanctuary Care home in Northfield will don their dressing gowns and onesies for a pyjama party-themed fete this week.
People from the local community are invited to The Beeches Residential Care Home on Saturday (23 August) between 12.30pm and 4.30pm, where there will be summer fun for all the generations.
The team will don their finest pyjamas especially for the occasion; there will be a tarot card reader, bouncy castle and Music in Motion – a group which uses sign language during musical performances.
When people are in need of a little refreshment there will be a stand selling traditional Indian cuisine, a barbecue and even an ice cream van and chocolate fountain.
Activities co-ordinator Catherine Hewitt said: “We have pulled out all the stops to organise a spectacular fete so are really looking forward to welcoming people from our local community along to celebrate the summer with us.”
All the proceeds from the event will go towards the home’s residents’ activities fund, which pays for trips and other activities for the residents to enjoy.
The address for those wishing to attend is 400 Frankley Beeches Road, Northfield, Birmingham, B31 5NJ.
