Police are increasingly concerned for the welfare of David Weaver, 68, who was last seen leaving his supported accommodation in Erdington on Thursday 17th July. Mr Weaver suffers from mental health issues and left home without any money, possessions or medication.
Police had been very concerned that there had been no sightings of Mr Weaver since his disappearance and are working today to confirm whether the two separate sightings in Northfield yesterday were him.
DI Tom Hadley from Birmingham North Police said: “David suffers from mental health issues, which requires him to take daily medication. We are very worried as he has left without any cash or belongings and there haven’t been any sightings.
“He is very vulnerable and due to his illness doesn’t interact with people so may not ask for help. He also tends to shout to himself and is quite distinctive and I would urge people around Birmingham to keep an eye out for him.”
