West Midlands Police are investigating after a Rubery teenager had his mobile phone stolen on Great Park, Rubery on Wednesday afternoon (4th June).
The 17 year old was walking home at around 5pm when he was threatened in Ashbrook Drive by two young males with their faces covered.The victim handed over his Blackberry mobile phone before running to the Great Park pub to raise the alarm.
It is alleged that one of the robbers was armed with what the victim described as a handgun.
Local officers – including firearms officers – were immediately dispatched and searched the area but were unable to locate the offenders.
