Creative Arts Show - Textiles Student Bongiwe

One student whose work will be on show is eighteen year old Bongiwe Mosweunyane. The former George Dixon International School pupil, who is nearing the end of her second year at the specialist sixth form college, is studying three A Levels including Textiles and plans to study fashion at university.

For her textiles final project Bongiwe explored a theme of ‘growth and evolution’ by creating an asymmetrical skirt with a macramé top. Speaking about her experience of A Level Textiles, she said:

“I really love fashion and the course has given me the freedom to express myself and not be afraid to experiment with new materials and try out different styles. I can’t wait to see my creation modelled in the fashion show.”
