This week has seen Sainsburys’ stores across the country, including Northfield and Longbridge, supporting the charity Carers UK for Carers’ Week.
Groups & charities including Age Concern, Autism West Midlands, Headway and Young Carers have been in store throughout the week giving advice and information to carers.
Today (Friday 13th June) CERS (Carers Emergency Response Service) are in the Northfield store until 2pm and tomorrow Parkinson’s UK will be there from 10am-2pm.
And today, carers were invited to an informal get together at the Cafe at Longbridge Sainsburys to discuss their experiences of being a carers and to get some advise. Trusted Local Care, Longbridge Police, Midlands Mencap, Autism Birmingham and Councillor Andy Cartwight attended.
