Do you have a few spare hours each month and may be looking for some useful experience to add to your CV? Do you love Cofton Park and want to do something positive in your community?

In the run up to their AGM, the Friends of Cofton Park are calling for committee members and also volunteers to help run group activities. You can do as much or as little as you like. If you can only spare an hour a week it would still benefit the group.

The group are looking for people who can help to organise events, coordinate activities in the park, carry out some administration for the group or help with funding bids. You don’t need any previous experience, just an interest in helping to maintain and improve the beautiful Cofton Park.

coftonVolunteering for the group could provide you with some of these skills:

• events planning & coordination,
• budget management,
• communication & negotiation,
• arranging meetings or coordinating activities,
• making grant funding applications,
• marketing,
• administration eg minute taking or maintaining the Facebook page.
The AGM will take place at Lickey Hills Visitors Centre, Warren Lane on Thursday 17 April at 7pm.
