West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an armed robbery at a West Heath supermarket yesterday.

Officers were called to the Co-operative store on Alvechurch Road just after 12.50pm on Sunday 23rd March, after receiving reports of a robbery.

Two men threatened staff with what was believed to have been a hand gun.

The men stole a quantity of cigarettes and cash before fleeing the store.

One offender is described as white, 5’7″, of slim build, the other Asian, 5’6 height.

  1. please check cctv at the other co-op store on west heath road two men were acting suspisiously on Saturday afternoon and I pointed them out to the security guard they could be the same two men ….the one entered the store same time as me so it will be on camera if the staff could check they may know the two men if they are the same .
