Members of the Kings Norton Housing Liaison Board, and the Housing team braved the weather for another Estate Assessment covering the Hawkesley/Primrose Area on the 19th February, to pick up on local issues and problems to fix as part of being involved in our area.
As you can see there is a lot of background work that the Housing Liaison Board do as volunteers alongside the Housing team to get problems reported and fixed. You can always help by letting the local Housing team know of any issues on 0121 464 4700

The Assessment was reported by Our Vice Chair , and information was kindly provided by our Local Housing team representative.
The Following was found, reported and jobs have been raised to be rectified –
Several areas of litter along assessment route including.
Warrens End – The Ward crew were scheduled to visit areas the following day
Green Lane Walk
Greenway Gardens, District Neighbourhood Caretaker (DNC) is to add larger items to bulk collection.
The Ark Academy (School) – Litter trapped between two fences.
GRAFFITI: Specific Locations and details have been reported to graffiti removal team and jobs have been raised
VANDALISM: Specific Locations and details have been reported to repair team and jobs have been raised
Wall on Shannon Road has suffered damage
HARD LANDSCAPE: Specific Locations and details have been reported and jobs have been raised
Grange Rise – Manhole Cover loose/damaged
Red Hill Grove – Manhole Cover loose/ damaged
Hole Farm Way – Manhole Cover loose/damaged
Selcombe Way – a number of loose steps have been reported to Highways
Greenway Gardens – Missing steps have been reported to Highways
SOFT LANDSCAPE: Specific Locations and details have been reported and jobs have been raised
Areas have minor litter to shrub beds, DNC to add to work programme
Beech Walk – Overhanging Bushes DNC to cut back
Red Hill Grove
Selcombe Way – Areas of Shrubs/bushes are thinning out – Possible Environmental Project proposal to have the area replanted is to be looked at.
BREACHES OF TENANCY
Two properties have been identified as having breaches of tenancy, specific locations and details have been noted, but are not being made public at this stage.
ASSET MANAGEMENT: Specific Locations and details and been reported and jobs have been raised
Parking bays in Hawkesmoor Gardens, Warrens End, Yarrow Drive – Leaf Litter and litter in parking bays DNC to add to work programme.
There were 3 vehicles found that were not displaying TAX DISKS, The makes, models and locations of these vehicles were noted and reported to the authorities, but are not being made public at this stage.
It was also noted that several grass verges/kerb areas and edgings had been damaged, possibly by refuse lorries etc. The areas are in Campion Close and Reedmace Close and this is being looked into further.
