The Old Rose and Crown at Lickey Hills tweeted us this photo of a police liveried Maclaren spotted in a Cofton Hackett car showroom.
The Maclaren 12C Spider, worth almost a quarter of a million pounds, was unveiled this weekend at the Autosport International show at the NEC, on loan to help police spread the road safety message.
Officers representing the Central Motorway Police Group joined BBC Motorway Cops star PC Angus Nairn to meet the public and show off the car at the show.
The car is now in the window of the Rybrook prestige car showroom at Cofton Hackett. Although they’d find the 3.8 litre engine with 0-30mph in 3 seconds, 600 brake horsepower and top speeds of over 200mph handy, unfortunately for police officers, they won’t get to take it on patrol as it doesn’t have enough space for their equipment!
We may give them a ring tomorrow and ask for a test drive… what do you reckon our chances are?!
