Longbridge Police have today confirmed that they have made three arrests in relation to several street robberies which have taken place on the ward over recent weeks. 

A 16-year-old boy from Weoley Castle has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob in relation to five offences over the last two months in the Rubery area. Read more

A 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old boy, both from Frankley, have also been arrested on suspicion of robbery relating to two incidents in Northfield where mobile phones, wallets and cash were taken from victims. Read more

All have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A spokesperson for the Longbridge team said: “Longbridge neighbourhood policing teams continue to carry out their work to ensure that the community feel safe and that criminals are brought to justice.

“Information provided by members of the public plays a significant role in catching criminals so we thank you for your continued support and encourage the community to report any suspicious activity relating to robbery or other offences to the team on 101.”
