The study modules available on the programme allow students to learn more about things such as personal finance, time management, how to apply for jobs, develop communication skills and how to manage relationships successfully. It also gives them the opportunity to complete some work experience modules and have one-to-one appointments with employment coaches.
Sat alongside the study modules is the vocational enrichment programme that includes, amongst other subjects, team building, healthy living, gardening, dance/zumba and arts and crafts. All the activities on Nu-traxx include maths and English for work and further study.
At the end of the 30 week programme students should have developed employability skills that will help them to connect to local employers.
