The Birmingham Community Safety Partnership is recruiting four new Board Members from the community to join the Birmingham Community Safety, Police & Crime Board. All Lay Community Members will have full voting rights.
The Board’s role is to oversee the development and delivery of strategies to tackle crime and disorder, prevent substance misuse and reduce re-offending in Birmingham.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the strategies that will reduce crime and improve the quality of life for those who live, work or visit Birmingham. A key role for the Board is to identify the priorities for the Community Safety Partnership and the Birmingham Policing and Crime Plan 2014-15 and inform decisions about the allocation of resources to them.
Applications to become Lay Community Members are encouraged from anyone who lives or works in Birmingham, who is 16 years or older and can demonstrate the appropriate skills.
The closing date for applications is midday 4 November 2013, after which all applications will be assessed. It is expected that short listed candidates will be invited for interview in the week commencing Monday 11 November.
