West Midlands Police have today released an appeal for witnesses to the fatal collision which happened in Kings Norton on Saturday night

Thomas Jones, 20, from Weoley Castle was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car on Pershore Road South close to Kings Norton Library .

The accident, involving purple Kawasaki motorcycle and a silver Honda Jazz, happened at around 7.30pm on Saturday (7th September) and today police are asking any witnesses to the accident to come forward.

Sergeant Gavin Green, from the Collision Investigation Unit said “We are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to call us as soon as possible.

“In particular we want to hear from anyone who saw the purple Kawasaki and a second motorcycle in the area shortly before 7.30pm on Saturday evening.”
