From West Midlands Police:

A LONGBRIDGE man has appeared in court charged with raping a woman in West Heath in the early hours of Monday morning.

John Dennis appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (13 September) after being arrested by officers from the West Midlands Police Public Protection Unit on Wednesday.

The 41-year-old, of […] Longbridge, was also charged with the historical rape of a woman in West Heath in May 2010.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 7 January 2014.


    • John “Tommy” Dennis from Longbridge has been found GUILTY of several charges of rape and assault at Birmingham Crown Court today. Sentencing will be on 17th April.

  1. Yeh Skipton , junior Hanson , heard he got off with it , was going to be a retrial but the victim of Tommy Batchlor the police officer he raped didn’t wanna go through it all

  3. John Dennis has been given a 10 year sentence and a 4 year suspended sentence, he must serve a third of his sentence to be eligible for parole, I will upload more information when I recieve it
