West Mercia Police have made three arrests following an incident where armed men entered a Rubery flat last night.

Officers were called to New Road at around 9pm yesterday, Tuesday 18th June, where it was reported that two men, armed with an axe, knife and baseball bat, had entered a flat.

Police today confirmed that residents were in the property at the time of the incident but that no-one was injured. Damage was caused to kitchen units.

Two men and a woman were later arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and are currently in custody and assisting police with inquiries.

Police are investigating the possibility that those arrested were known to the residents and that this was not a random attack.

If you have any information, you can call West Mercia Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
