The variety of short courses available from local education centres offers lots of opportunity to learn new skills, develop a hobby or meet new people and have some fun, without having to travel outside the area.

From sewing to dancing, gardening to First Aid at Work and diplomas in technical skills, the courses are available at various times of the day or at the weekend so there’s a good chance you can find something to fit in with your other commitments and budget.  If you don’t want to take a class in a group environment then some centres offer online learning so you can learn at your own pace and in your own time.

Some of the education centres offering short courses include Northfield Adult Education Centre, Bournville College, Northfield Ecocentre, Birmingham School of Sewing, MAC Birmingham, Fircroft College and Northfield Town Partnership.
