Fancy a breathtaking hike across the Himalayas and a life-changing volunteering experience in India? Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice invites you to a special information evening about the charity mission.
The 10-day trip to the Subcontinent promises to give those with a lust for travel an opportunity to see one of the most stunning parts of the world and give something back to people in need of vital care.
The adventure is set to begin on 15 November 2013, taking in the Indian capital, Delhi, and the Himalayan foothill area around Dharamsala, the home of the Dalai Lama.
Claire Marshall, Head of Income Generation and Marketing at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, said “After the success of our Sahara Trek last year, we wanted to offer people another opportunity of an amazing experience that gives back to a hospice both here in Birmingham and overseas. The trek last year raised around £15,000 and we are hoping this one will be even more successful.”
The free information evening is held this Thursday, 21 March, at 6pm for a 6:30pm start at the Hospice on Raddlebarn Road, Selly Park.
