Cock Hill Quarry: An update to a longstanding problem. Sgt Pierpoint said that a plan of action has been decided by partners, awaiting funding approval, which should be done within 2 weeks. Improvements include a fire break to protect local properties.
**Rednal shed break ins: Sgt Pierpoint identified a significant increase in break ins to and thefts from sheds in the Rednal area and asked residents to be vigilant and keep sheds secure. If anyone has any information, call Longbridge police on 101. Made a ward priority
**Anti-social behaviour, Brightstone Road area, Frankley: Resident reported a group of youths has been acting in an anti-social manner in the area. Including damage to parked cars and properties. Deelands Hall, ASB: Resident identified problems of ASB around Deelands Hall at certain times. Police aware and will observe. Advised to call 101 at the time the problems occur.
Longbridge police are organising a community Christmas event for Longbridge. The event will take place on Saturday 8th December between 12-3pm. It will be held on the car park behind Hollywood Bowl on Great Park. So far confirmed there will be street dancers from The Factory youth centre, music from Hollymoor choir, crafts, tombola & face painting etc from Friends of Balaams Wood and Frankley Parish Council, food from Chiquitos etc. Much more to come and we’ll post up full details when we get them. There will be a Christmas party for families on the Cockhill estate at Deelands Hall on Saturday 15th December 1-4pm. Party, buffet, Santa, games, quiz (with £10 prize), music, carols.
