West Midlands Police officers have organised a fun family Christmas celebration for the residents of Longbridge ward with the help of community partners including Frankley Parish Council, The Factory Youth Centre, Friends of Balaams Wood and Eternal Life Church.

The free event organised by PCSO Natasha Gardner and the Longbridge neighbourhood police team, will take place on Great Park on Saturday 8th December.

Activities will include arts, crafts and games and there will be entertainment ranging from live bands to dance displays. Officers and fire engine from West Midlands Fire Service will be along and there will be a raffle.

Food and refreshments will be available with Chiquitos providing tasters of their menu, mince pies supplied by Morrisons, jacket potatoes and homemade cakes.

Of course, Santa will be putting in an appearance too!

The event will be rounded off with Valma, from Eternal Life Church based at Hollymoor Centre, leading Christmas Carols.

The event is free but any donations received will go to the Acorns Children’s Hospice.
