The Birmingham Repertory Theatre are looking for participants from the Northfield area for their latest community production.

The Witches’ Promise has been specially written by Stephanie Dale, inspired by the history of Weoley Castle. The castle dates back to the 13th century and the production will be performed on the site of its ruins.

In partnership with Weoley Castle and Weoley Castle Library the project is part of Neighbourhood REP and the play will be performed in the medieval ruins of the castle in July 2012.

The REP are seeking performers, singers, musicians and backstage crew of all ages from within the Northfield Constituency – if you live in Weoley, Frankley, Longbridge, Northfield, Rednal, West Heath or Kings Norton you could be eligible to take part.

In return for their time and effort the volunteer cast will get professional training from The REP’s highly talented creative team and the chance to take part in one of the city’s most exciting and innovative outdoor events of the summer which is taking place at the heart of their community.

Anyone interested in taking part in this exciting community project should be available for casting workshops this Saturday and can register their interest by emailing neighbourhoodrep@birmingham-rep.co.uk
