New Sunday league team Rubery Rednal FC are seeking sponsorship to enable them to enter the competitive league next season.
They are hoping to enter the Solihull and District Oakbourne football league where games take place anywhere between Bromsgrove, Birmingham and Solihull so there will be a lot of ground covered and exposure for any potential sponsor.
The majority of the team’s players are from the Rubery, Rednal area.
The deadline to enter the league is next week and we need to have a sponsorship agreed in principle to help us cover the costs required in order to be accepted in to the league.
In return for sponsorship, the company name, logo and web site will be displayed on the front of the team’s shirts as well as their Twitter page, Facebook page, the league website (which is very popular) and their own website, should they decide to start one.
Rubery Rednal FC’s Dan Arnold said: “Depending on the amount of funding offered we may even consider changing our name or incorporating the sponsor name in to ours.”
The team needs to raise just over £2000 in funds to get started.
Dan said: “We hope to make a small amount of this ourselves by all chipping in but we cannot go ahead and join the league (which starts in August) unless we have the funding required.”
“We are asking if there are any kind companies who would like some local exposure via a football team that will help out a good community cause” he added.
