Police have arrested a man following a report of a road rage assault in New Road, Rubery on Saturday.

The incident happened at around 6.45pm on Saturday, 17 December, beginning on Callowobrook Lane before progressing to New Road. Three men were involved in the incident: one in a grey Ford Focus and two in a Blue Renault Megane.

An argument being two of the men left one with bruising to his face.

PC John Coleman said: “We believe that at the time of the incident there would have been quite a few other cars on the roads in that area and therefore someone must have seen what happened.

“We would urge anyone that remembers seeing the incident to call us as soon as possible as they may be able to help us with our investigation.”

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail until January 7, pending further inquiries.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Coleman at on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident 607-S-171211, or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
