From West Mercia Police:
Witnesses are sought by police following a road rage incident in Rubery which led to a car window being smashed.
The incident started in Rednal Hill Lane shortly before 8.25pm on Saturday, 29 October, when a man driving a red Mitsubishi sounded his horn after nearly colliding with another vehicle, possibly a VW Golf, which was a dark colour.
The Mitsubishi parked shortly afterwards outside Rubery Social Club in New Road and the other car pulled up behind it. A man got out of the front passenger seat and aggressively confronted the Mitsubishi’s driver who started to pull off. The offender then punched the driver’s window, shattering it.
The victim parked again in a nearby side road to call police and then saw the offender running up the middle of the road towards his car, at which point he drove off to Rubery Police Station.
The offender was a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5ft 10ins in height, stocky and with light brown hair. He was wearing a short sleeved, white polo shirt and spoke with a Midlands accent.
PC Ed Banks, who is investigating, said: “We urgently want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed anything of this incident and in particular if they can help us identify the offender or the car he was using. The smallest piece of information could be important so please get in touch.”
Witnesses or anyone with information should call PC Banks on 0300 333 3000, quoting incident reference 776-S-291011, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
