The new MG Sales Centre opened in Longbridge this morning with VIPs invited to a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care.

The launch marked the start of a weekend of events at the Sales Centre, including test drives and family fun.

We couldn’t make it along, so Councillor Andy Cartwright took some photographs for us – many thanks to him!

Councillor Cartwright, who worked at the Longbridge plant in the past, said: “Today was a great day for local investment and british manufacturing, and a proud moment for myself.

“I had goosebumps when I walked back through Q gate. I’m glad to see MG keep their commitment.

“I hope that people get behind them and buy the great products and cars, which will enable them to hopefully engage and employ local people and support the future for the young people & all age groups in our community” he added.
