Rubery Festival organisers are presumably watching weather forecasts very closely for the next few days, ahead of the second attempt this year at staging a full festival!
Originally planned for the 12th June, torrential rain ruined events planned to be held in St Chad’s Park, as dancers & singers headed indoors to the shelter of Rubery Social Club to entertain damp festival-goers.
This weekend’s forecast looks promising, but rest assured there’ll be lots of crossed fingers in Rubery at the moment!
You can head to St Chad’s Park this Sunday 28th August for live music, including Lisa-Marie Holmes, Chloe Barry, Laura Shaw, Lady and the Sax, Scott Cartwright and many more. There will also be dancing, belly dancing and more entertainment.
There will be family fun including bouncy castle, donkey rides, facepainting, charity stalls and tombola.
You can also enjoy a pig roast and other refreshments.
If the event can NOT be held due to rain (crosses fingers!) entertainment will be provided in Rubery Social Club.
Events will take place this Sunday 28th August in St Chad’s Park, Rubery between 12 and 5.30pm
