West Mercia Police have issued an urgent appeal to help find two children missing from their Alvechurch home since  yesterday.

Kaine (10) and Angel (8) Smith were last seen yesterday (Thursday) lunchtime and have not been found despite an extensive search overnight.

The children are described as ‘vulnerable’ and have family in the West Bromwich area, so may have attempted to reach them.

Kaine is white, 5ft in height, slim, pale skinned with short brown hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt under a blue, hooded, zip-up jacket and grey jogging bottoms.

His sister is also white, 4ft 6inches in height, has blonde hair and was wearing a yellow top under a pale pink and white, hooded, zip-up top which has red hearts on it, dark leggings and pink trainers.

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Love of West Mercia Police said today: “We have serious concerns for the welfare of these two children due to their ages and as they have now possibly been out all night in wet weather.

“It is possible they may be making their way to the West Bromwich area, where they have connections. We need to find them as quickly as possible and I would urge anyone who has seen two children answering those descriptions since around midday yesterday to get in touch with us immediately.”

If you think you may have seen them, call police on 0300 333 3000. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
