Pupils and staff from Frankley Community High School have raised a whopping £570 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Around fifteen Year 9 & 10 students were joined by 5 members of staff for the three hour bag pack at Morrisons supermarket in Rednal last Friday.
Morrisons were extremely supportive and shoppers were very generous in this event.
The students were all well-mannered, polite and enthusiastic throughout their three hour stint. All of them did it with a big smile on their face, even though they’d had a tough day of learning before they went down to Morrisons.
The staff involved in the event were extremely impressed with how mature and pleasant the students were. One member of the public said he was amazed to see teenagers out on a Friday evening giving their time to help others.
Mrs Harris, Head Teacher, felt extremely proud of her students. The school sends out a big thank you to all Frankley’s students who participated, Morrisons and those generous members of the public.
