Police investigating the murder of a pensioner at Rednal in north Worcestershire have arrested another two men.

One of them was arrested in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday 7 June) and the other was arrested last night. Both have been arrested on suspicion of murdering Paul Cox whose body was found at his home in Waseley Road on Friday morning (3 June). Mr Cox would have celebrated his 84th birthday yesterday (Tuesday).

The men arrested yesterday are being questioned by detectives at police stations in Worcestershire, as is a third man who was arrested on Sunday (5 June), also on suspicion of murder. All three are from the Birmingham area.

Mr Cox’s car, a blue Ford Focus – registration MH05 DFN – was taken from his driveway overnight on Thursday (2 June) and found fire damaged on Sunday night within a housing complex at The Gardens in Erdington.
