NOTE 24/5/11 3.25pm Birmingham City Council media team have had a problem with their video system so the live video stream will NOT go ahead for this meeting. We have been promised audio, however.

Birmingham City Council will live stream a full council meeting for the first time this afternoon, allowing the public easier access to council proceedings via the internet.

Cameras will follow the meeting in the council house, with images being streamed directly to the internet using the ustream service.

The stream will be available below once it goes live at 3.30pm, Tuesday 24th May.

Those wishing to follow and discuss the events whilst watching the live stream, can do so on twitter using the hashtag #bccmeetings or follow and join in the discussion on the CoveritLive event page (NB: tweets with the #bccmeetings hashtag will automatically appear on the CoverItLive page)
