Labour’s Winnie Flanagan failed to defeat existing tory councillor Reg Corns in a very close Northfield poll. Flanagan secured just 54 less votes than Corns, who holds his seat for another three years.

The British National Party’s candidate, Leslie Orton, Received 327 vote, pushing the Liberal Democrats’ Andy Moles into fourth place in the poll.
