From the West Midlands Police Website:

Birmingham police have shut down a cannabis farm following an early morning raid.

Officers executing a drugs warrant in Kelby Road, Northfield last week (20 October) uncovered approximately 300 cannabis plants, along with heat lamps and hydroponics equipment.

PC Clive Gordon, from the Weoley neighbourhood team, said: “Local residents approached us and told us that they were concerned about possible drug dealing activity in the area. We have today acted upon these concerns and we are committed to putting a stop to drug dealing which impacts upon our communities.”
“By seizing the drugs, we will not only cut down on supply in Northfield , but also crime in the area which is linked to drugs.”
A 30 year old man was arrested at the address for cultivation of cannabis and is currently helping police with their inquiries.

Anyone with information about drugs in their neighbourhood should contact their local police station on 0345 113 5000 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
